Magnets!!!
I have a stainless steel fridge and have hated that my magnets we have collected on travels and through the years were downstairs in the garage on the old fridge. I got a magnetic white board at Target this weekend and hung it in the hallway to the laundry room along with some travel photos. Turned out cute! Could that count as a thrifty Thursday, Leigh?? One at the bottom says "Mom's Mood!" and the kids have been running over all week moving the peg accordingly.
I love it because it has many memories stuck on that board!

That is such a cool idea! Wish we had a magnet collection like yours - sadly, most of ours are the ones stuck to the front of the phone book.

My fridge has been covered with mags for seven years. I recently removed them when I remodeled my kitchen ... where to put them? Now I know! Great idea!
